In 1951, massive meteorites fell to destroy the twenty largest cities on the planet. London, Paris, New York, Beijing…all gone. The indirect damage in the aftermath was incalculable, and included the use of atomic weapons by both east and west as both sides blamed the other for the calamity. Then they came…the Scarabs- the bug alien invaders, sweeping in to conquer the remnants of humanity.
It is now 1952. Much of the world is under Scarab control, and since the fall of the Soviet Union, the only international resistance to the aliens is from the UK-based Alliance Earth Organisation (AEO). The rest of Eastern Europe is about to fall to the invaders, including the chief remaining city, Berlin. You, as AEO agents, have the job of going into Berlin before it falls to bring out , a scientist, who may have the secret to understanding, and so using or disabling, Scarab force-field technology.
