Earth is a wasteland, used by the alien Corvo as a breeding ground for human soldiers. Most of the planet, all that the Corvo don’t directly control, is run by ruthless warlords. Some escape this hell, hired by the Corvo to fight their battles in space, and a very small number of these escapees actually make it rich.
You’re heading to the fabled Earth, to find a rich man’s wife and child. When he signed on with the Corvo and left the Earth seven years ago, his wife and unborn child lived in the Corvo controlled Detroit Conclave. Years ago the Corvo abandoned Detroit, declaring it ‘unprofitable’. Almost immediately the warlord ‘Feral God’ took over using the walled city as the centre of his empire.
You need to get in, find the family and get out alive. But you’ve only two days to complete the mission. After that your heavily bribed Corvo escort ship leaves, and the idea of spending the rest of your lives in Detroit just does bare thinking about.
