20,000 Leagues Under the Mutants

The Event has happened. Humanity has declined. Now all that remains of the civilisation that spanned the Earth and the stars lies deep below the surface of the turbulent, irradiated seas of planet Earth.

The last bastion of humanity in this bleak cosmos: Mekatron-7.

And it’s populated by robots.

You have spent your days working at your job. Whiling away your evenings at robot cafe’s or watching the robot gladitorial arena combats and relaxing at night knowing you had done your bit to keep human civilisation alive in your own small robotic way.

Now you have a new task:

You have been assigned to the Error Elimination Unit of Mechatron-7. Your role is to remove/replace/repair any robot who questions orders or behaves erratically.

There are only two problems with this:

Recently you’ve started questioning your orders.

You’ve also caught yourself behaving erratically.

There’s an old human saying.

“Oh dear.”

You’re not sure if this reasonably covers the scope of your problems.
