An introductory adventure for 8 to 10 (0 level) characters, the players will take control of two characters each.
The date is 1899, the place Transylvania. The player characters are all gathered that evening in the Stokers Hammer Inn one of many in the village of Ravenwald. The inn is overcrowded and many would be travellers have had their journeys truncated by a powerful earth tremor that shook the region shortly before noon. Some coachmen are too superstitious to travel at night and more than a few coaches have been damaged in the tremor. Your characters are unfortunately stuck here until the morning as your driver flatly refuses to travel any further tonight and risk the mountain paths in the dark.
Your rest is disturbed and the busy hubbub in the inn silenced in an instance when a sweaty red faced and obviously grievously wounded terrified farmer bursts in and blurts out ” It took her…The giant, he who was hanged a month ago … I seed him with my own eyes. He took my daughter Drusilla.” Time to grab the pitchforks and torches and form a posse
