In the bitter winter of 1809 the French are winning the war in Spain and the British army, under Sir John Moore, is retreating towards Corunna with Napoleon’s forces in close pursuit. Having failed in an attempt to destroy three enormous French cannon, the 7th Company of the 2nd Wessex Regiment of Foot now rot in a military jail. Will this be the end of their war or can a daring escape be engineered?
