The Past
The Wyrm has won.
Exactly when it happened is lost in the mists of the past, but humanity turned its back on itself and the planet and embraced the propaganda of hate, distrust and malice that the Wyrm had germinated in its heart. Governments revoked environmental policies, corporations blighted previously pristine wilderness and a new age of cynicism and hate began.
The first to die were the mages, their power of imagination stymied by the mechanisms of the Wyrm. The Fae Lords fled to their castles in the clouds and their common folk were left to fall into banal, dire lives of empty desperation. Only the Garou and the other shifting breeds stood against the spread of the great corruption, but they were too few, too fractured and in the end too weak. Tribes were destroyed, septs were blighted and warbands were slaughtered.
A high council was called, of all the Shifting Breeds and it was agreed that this world was lost to the Wyrm. It would be abandoned, the moon gates would be shattered and the Umbra sundered – trapping the Wyrm here forever. The Theurges cast their spells, the gnosis flowed and the Shifting Breeds left Earth forever.
Well, not all of them. A small rearguard were left to watch the Wyrm and stop them if they found a way to reopen the Umbra. You are that rearguard…
The Present
The high council was wrong. Gaia stirs. The ancestor spirits are rising. The world exists in a cycle and it is time for rebirth. The Rage is bulding and Gaia needs her champions to return, to fight for her again. However, the Umbra is closed and the moon gates are destroyed. How can they return? And if they do not reopen them, how long can Gaia fight on?
This world has a second chance … can you take it?
