New York is rife with rumours of masked vigilantes attacking criminals under cover of darkness. Sightings of ‘ninjas’ are increasingly being reported by concerned (and bewildered) citizens. A shadow darker than the deepest night has been glimpsed on rooftops, masked and caped, seemingly hunting someone, or something before disappearing without trace.
