All irregularities will be handled by the forces controlling each dimension. Transuranic heavy elements may not be used where there is life. Medium atomic weights are available: Gold, Lead, Copper, Jet, Diamond, Radium, Sapphire, Silver and Steel. Sapphire and Steel have been assigned.
Time is not a measure. Time is an entity, trapped in a corridoor the length of time and space, desperate to break free. If time escapes it will tear reality asunder. Time cannot break through on its own, though; it needs help. Humanity’s habit for visiting the past, layer upon layer of history concentrated in one place, the human fetish for anachronism — all create weak points where Time can bleed into the present. But while humans may be oblivious to the danger they place themselves in, there are other forces at work who will take advantage of these stress points, to use the primal force of Time for their own ends.
And when the cracks form, it falls to Agents of a higher power to fix things. While Agents may be present in any time, they are not time travellers; they are time menders.
This is a Powered by the Apocalypse game based on the TV and audio series Sapphire and Steel. Players Characters are Agents with “elemental” designations, called to the time and place where time is breaking through to investigate and stop the crisis. Agents aren’t fully human, and lack a complete set of “human” moves, but compensate with supernatural ability. The MC represents Time
as well as other antagonists. The tone is a closed room, mystery/detective game where players will need first to understand the nature of the crisis, then present some kind of solution, all before the countdown finishes.
