Ministry of Thunder (Part 1): King Tiger

Your errant immortals find themselves in trouble with the Heavenly Authorities. Fully expecting to be cast out of Heaven for your crimes. Instead, you see yourselves drafted into the celestial Ministry of Thunder. Run by the God of Thunder, Lei Gong, it takes on the role of punishing those crimes that mortal law can’t or won’t reach

As deputies of the Ministry of Thunder, led by the stern and terrible Lei-Gong Lord of Thunder, it’s your job to solve crimes and bring to justice those responsible where the mortal authorities won’t or can’t get involved.


1a: Welcome to the Ministry!

Experience the Ministry’s famous induction program, learn about its fabulous track record of catching criminals and meet the fearsome Minister himself! Then straight to work on Earth catching supernatural offenders that the mortal magistrates can’t capture.

1b: King Tiger. 

One of the Ministry’s more infamous cases where a whole clan of mortals systematically disappeared. Since the Li clan are a warrior clan, who provide soldiers to man the Great Wall this was a worrying event worthy of investigation.


Please note the games in Slot 2 & 4 have been previously run at Furnace (2008 &2011 respectively) but have been extensively rewritten for this outing. Slot 5 is an epic finale that has been specially written for 7 Hills.

Monkey is a game of errant Chinese Immortals, doing good deeds to atone for past crimes with dollops of comedy and kick ass kung fu action. This is a light-hearted fun game where no prior knowledge is assumed. It uses a straightforward narrative mechanic that uses regular playing cards.
