Crane Clan have proffered an official petition to the Emerald Champion, it seems Nezumi – Rat People have invaded their lands in the north and the most precious of clans cannot abide their presence in an otherwise pristine fief. They would not be so gauche as to blame the Scorpion Clan outright, but the veiled hint is clear to even the dullest of Crab Clan Bushi. The Champion cannot be everywhere though, and has more important matters to attend to and so has sent some faithful Yoriki (chief assistants) to deal with the matter on his behalf. Samurai after all means “those who serve in close attendance to the nobility”, and who is more noble than the Crane?
