Eclipse – the illegal battle festival held in the depths of the Asterisk City, and possibly the only chance remaining for the students of Carlisle House to achieve their dreams. It has few rules, and many who participate are killed, yet the rewards are said to be greater than anything that can be achieved, in the richest city on earth.
Carlisle House was one of the first schools set up for the Genestella – a new breed of humans with superior reliance and strength, who began to emerge at the end of the 20th century.
