Our House

In this game, Blood & Water, you and your friends will create a house that is home to an alternative family arrangement: the residents choose to live together because they are outcasts from mundane human society.

Each of the residents is something more-than or other-than human, something from our legends or our nightmares. Everyone living in the house is a supernatural being, like a vampire, werewolf or ghost, each trying to make a place for themselves with their feet in two worlds: this one and the next.

When you play the game, you tell stories about these characters and their day-to-day lives as they struggle to find acceptance or resolution; they face the same problems as everyone else, like trying to make a living whilst still pursuing a personal life, but they have a whole layer of other problems on top of that.

While the pitch may sound superficially like Monsterhearts, this game attempts to catch the more playful tone of the TV show ‘Being Human’ and zooms in to the really small things in life that trouble the supernaturals.

It’s not about being a werewolf, it’s about the fact that being a werewolf gets in the way of living a normal life.

What do you think about that?
